My laptop is ancient on Win7, could this be a problem? I have closed down everything on task manager and it shows 4 instances of LL running and using 30% CPU, 40% mem with fan on FULL. I usd to use Electrum years ago, think i could try that (delete the folder in appdata first though) Will try again with everything off or try BCH. I have just turned Comodo and firewalls OFF, i have also checked on Ledger Website and all supported coins are all OK. When i know goto Setting when not logged into ledger live/BTC it does show -Secure Element 1.5.5 and MCU 1.7. Thanks for reply, i did have Comodo send a few messages to allow ledger live access which i did.
To check firmware : Navigate to Settings > Device > Firmware -> The firmware version is displayed under Secure Element. Regarding 1.3.8, it is version of bitcoin app, there is no firmware with such number. Nano S can be also used with Electrum, and in this way you can check whether the problem is in Nano S or in Ledger Live ( something else).

I also initially thought it was node-hid but it's not, it's purely in the way we did this build, we probably upgraded our Linux version which broke older distribution support when doing the build on it.Dragonizer, I see you update to latest 1.5.5 firmware, and I guess you are using latest Ledger Live and coin apps? If you can confirm that all is up to date, then you should check your internet connection and your antivirus / firewall settings. It helps fixing this, otherwise we need to dig more into where the problem is exactly (we might need more precise logs – after a Ctrl+E logs can be viewed using otherwise send them to our techsupport but don't send them here if you have accounts in your Live for privacy reason ). (so in a sense, that info is useful because indeed it only breaks in older version after further investigation) Indeed I just wanted to point out that, as all our releases, our QA team did make that build works on Linux, and therefore we didn't detect the problem. On our side, we were able to make this work on Linux under a few distribution and didn't found this issue so I'm curious where the problem is. My intention was not to close the investigation, on the contrary I was curious to know about more information. I don't understand where you think I had this mindset in that message: #3408 (comment). (i'm holidays for 2 weeks and part of the team will be off during Christmas but I hope we fix this in January)

we should to upgrade node-hid in ledgerjs too.Ĭc / : if you guys find a way to reproduce and extract the logs. (ctx node-hid/node-hid#398 thx to help from ) Technically, what I can see is that we have upgraded node-hid library in order to upgrade our Electron version in the future. All our past releases are still available on (and signatures can always be checked on )
